Michael Rowan, your primary instructor and owner of Trigger Burst, honorably retired as a decorated Command Level Peace Officer from the California Department of Corrections after serving over 30 years. Over half of his career was at the position of Parole Agent. Michael began instructing Correctional Peace Officers in firearms in 1987 earning his first Range Master Instructor Credentials from the FBI. Since then, he has gone on to receive instructor credentials from the California DOJ, Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, the NRA Law Enforcement Division, California Bureau of Safety and Security, The United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) as a Training Counselor. He served as a CCW instructor for the Ventura County Sheriff and LAPD for 10 years and with his newly acquired Tennessee State Certified Handgun Instructor license and approved training school he now teaches the Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit (EHGC) for the State of Tennessee.
Since retirement, Michael has worked in the private security industry protecting many “A” list celebrities, serving as a personal Bodyguard for billionaire executives, and he worked with the Secret Service and Department of State on several presidential details. He brings this experience to the classroom where he instructs security guards, executive protection agents, law enforcement, as well as civilians in firearms and EHGC Permits, home defense, and defensive tactics.
